WHO: This class is most helpful when taken by the people who parent the same child/ren together. Registration enrolls one adult. To enroll a second adult, please choose the "additonal adult add-on" offered when adding this class to your cart. This class is for parents, taken without their toddlers present, but 0-6 month old babies-in-arms are welcome as we’ve found that this allows more parents to attend!
WHEN: This class is a single session offered just 6 times a year on a Sunday morning for 2 hours. Ideally it is taken at the first signs of power struggles and differing opinions.
WHY: Toddlers are rather passionate people...as the caregivers of these intense ones, we need insight, perspective, and leveled-up skills to meet the moments of this volatile parenting phase. Whether the current struggles in your household revolve around...bedtime, biting, potty learning, weaning, tantrums, or hitting, connection with other toddler parents makes us feel so much less like we are doing this all wrong. Parents leave this class feeling renewed, more capable and more at ease.
HOW: Hand In Hand Parenting Tools can dissolve common power struggles by helping parents stay emotionally regulated enough to anchor their children during particularly turbulent moments.Time is devoted to naming the challenges in caring for a toddler that bring participants to this class. The specific topics covered reflect the needs of those present, but typically include: sleep and separation anxiety; tantrums, tears and aggression; setting limits; sibling support and squabbles; whining and defiance; parent support, stress reduction, and increasing laughter.
Facilitated by Emily Murray, Certified Hand In Hand Parenting Instructor.
